AN ODE TO THE SWEDISH SOIL
A FARM-, FOOD- AND BOOK PROJECT

During last two years, the idea for a new cookbook started bubbling and brewing. This time, inspired by the amazing farms and nature all around in Sweden, in Southern Småland. A land filled with many known and unknown exciting ingredients and fantastic people that have an immense knowledge on growing and eating local food, with both known and exciting unknown flavours.

This book is a collaboration with six outstanding organic farms in Southern Sweden, each with their own speciality, resulting in 384 pages filled with recipes, interviews, knowledge and practical tips on cooking, organic farming and foraging.

Leafy greens and homestead farming - with Torstamåla Gård
Edible Flowers and Flower Farming - with Fiddekulla Trädgård
Brassica and cultural landscapes - with Hällasjömåla Gård
Perennials, berries and nuts - with Groblad´s Permaculture
Vegetables and dairy - Solmarka Gård: Biodynamic Farm
Wild edibles - in the forests and meadows of Southern Småland
Aquaponics, Swedish exotics and biochar - with Ödevata Gård

With this book, we wish to bring you the possibility to...
.... discover and cook new yummy and beautiful recipes
.... explore and taste the non-traditional yet fully local Swedish kitchen
.... learn about different ways of organic farming (with expert tips for at home)
.... revive old classics and discover new exciting flavours! (like pine & flowers)
.... connect with and support your local farmers (wherever you are in the world)

Our aim: really good local food that is delicious, nourishes you and your loved ones, nourishes your local community and and awakens the creative explorer in you.

Now is a fantastic time to buy the book! Because we are currently running a crowdfunding campaign to bring this project to paper. With your support we can finalize this very special final step! Both an English and a Swedish book will be published!
